SYNOPSIS

Spanish Brass  has developed a new educational concert presented by Fernando Palacios. In this show, entitled “Texture in Music,” Spanish Brass works with several centuries of repertoire, in which solos, unisons, counterpoint, fugues, accompanied melodies, minimalism, various densities, etc. will be demonstrated. To illustrate these musical textures, original works for brass quintet are interspersed with arrangements for this formation, providing a broad spectrum of musical literature with a special focus on music from Spain.

This show was commissioned by the Juan March Foundation of Madrid, and the premiere took place on December 18, 2010.
